‘’All I have ever wanted is for Juli
Baker to leave me alone! Is that too much to ask?’’ This book is Flipped and is
written by Wendelin Van Draanen. This book is about a boy named Bryce and a
girl named Julianna {not related}. Julianna has two brothers named Matt and Mike,
she also has a mom and a dad. Bryce has a sister and a mom and dad, also a
grandpa. His grandpa hangs out with Julianna because she reminds him of his
late wife.
The problem is that Julianna’s chicks
lay eggs and she gives them to Bryce. Bryce thinks that they have poisoning and
throws them away. Julianna finds out and says that she was selling them and she
could have made more money. The part I like is when Juli climbs very high on
the sycamore tree because the author is so descriptive. The most exciting part was
when Bryce was a basket boy because it is near the end and the end leaves you
hungry for more. The author’s purposes
for writing this book is to look beyond there cover and look inside them. I
recommend this book to people creative imagination and to people who like
realistic fiction books. If you want to read a book about a girl who is as
annoying as a mosquito, read Flipped.
