How many books can I check out?
The limits vary depending on grade level.

Intermediate students may check out additional books for a literature circle or a research project.
How long may I keep a book?
The checkout period is two weeks, except for kindergarten students whose books are due back after one week.
What if I have an overdue book?
Students who have an overdue book will not be allowed to check out any additional books. If a book is a month overdue, the status of the book will be changed to lost and the student will be asked to pay for the book.
What if I’m not finished reading the
book by the due date?
Students can usually renew a book. In order to renew it, however, the book must be brought into the library.
What if a book is lost or damaged?
Damaged books must be returned, so we can determine if the book must be paid for. The student will have to pay the cost of any lost book. No books may be checked out until the fine is paid.
What if I find a lost book after I paid
for it?
The money will be refunded.
Which day is my library day?
Students come to the library on a weekly basis with their class. However, they may also come to the library individually at other times.

At what other times
can I come into the library?
The library is usually open for individual students to check books in and out before school (8:45-8:55) and at all lunch recesses. Until 2:30 each day, students may come to check books in and out if their teachers allow them to leave class.
