Welcome to Discovery!

WELCOME TO DISCOVERY ELEMENTARY!
THE FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL IS WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 3, 2008

We’re glad you’re here and we hope this welcome letter will answer some of the questions you have about starting school at Discovery Elementary: Please note our daily schedule below!

Bus Schedules
Bus schedules will be posted in school office windows on Saturday, September 1st. These schedules will provide you with the bus route and the exact location and time of each individual bus stop. Please direct any questions to our Transportation Department at 425-356-1306.

Classroom Assignments
Kindergarten students will each receive a letter by US Mail during the last week in August. Tentative classroom lists for grades 1 – 5 will be posted on the office windows Saturday BEFORE Labor Day Weekend (August 30th).

Lunch menus, insurance information, etc.
At the end of the first day, each student will take home an “Opening Day Packet,” which will answer many additional questions you may have about Discovery Elementary and the Mukilteo School District.

PTA
Discovery is fortunate to have a very active PTA organization. Informational packets, including membership and planned events throughout the year, will be sent home at the beginning of the school year.

Back to School Night
This evening event will be held on September 2nd from 5:30 – 6:30 in the courtyard. This will be an opportunity to meet your new teacher and connect with other families.
