Once my enrollment is confirmed, what are the next steps?
|
-
Parents will receive a
newsletter with important dates, reminders and classroom assignments in
August! If you have any questions, please give us a call.
-
Enrollment:
Enrollments are done in May and the beginning of the
school year. During the enrollment, we will complete paperwork, regarding
consents, health history, allergy information, and emergency contacts.
-
Home
Visits: Beginning late August, teachers and family
support workers will contact parents to set up a home visit. Children who
enroll after the start of the program, will receive home visits within 4 weeks
of starting the program.
-
The teacher visit
is to find out more about your child and to talk about your goals for
him/her. It has been our experience that children have a more positive
first day when they are able to meet their teacher in the comfort of their
own home.
-
The Family Support
staff meet with parents to find out how they can
provide support, resources and referrals. In addition, they will discuss
the different ways that families can be involved in the program.
-
Health Requirements:
The following need to be completed: Immunizations,
Medical
well child exam & Dental well child exam
-
Open
House: An open house is scheduled for the Thursday
before classes start. This is an opportunity for parents to see the
classrooms and the school.
-
First
Day of school:
Classes
start mid-September. Parents are welcomed to stay in the classroom during the
first part of the morning to find out more about the classroom activities.
