We don’t qualify for the free program because of our income, but we can’t afford to pay  the tuition. What can we do?
A small number of slots are available for those who are over income.  For these slots, the child must be impacted by  A) Developmental Factors, such as Developmental Delay or Disability or B) Environmental Factors, such as Domestic Violence, Chemical Dependency, Child Protective Service Involvement, or other factors affecting school success.
My family qualifies for the program, but I do not have transportation.  What can I do?
You can contact VOA ECEAP - (425)347-7174.  They are another ECEAP preschool that may be able to meet your transportation needs.
What happens after I complete my application?

We will contact you within one week to confirm receipt of the application and to schedule an appointment to complete the enrollment process.

When will my 3 year be enrolled?
If space is available, three year olds will be enrolled beginning September 1st.
When does school start?
Classes typically start mid-September.  Families will receive communication over the summer with the exact start date.
Will my child’s childcare provide transportation to and from school?
Kids N Us is the only childcare center providing transportation to our program.  Kids N US (425) 745-4933 129 128th St SW, Everett, WA 98204
When will my child attend (days & times)?
In order to provide a quality-learning environment for all students, classrooms are balanced by the number of boys and girls, language and home schools of students.  Classroom placements will be made early/mid-August.  We will work with families to accommodate their needs.
What happens when the program is full?
Children are placed on a prioritized waiting list and spaces are filled from this list as room becomes available.
Once my enrollment is confirmed, what are the next steps?
  1. Parents will receive a newsletter with important dates, reminders and classroom assignments in August!  If you have any questions, please give us a call.

  2. Enrollment:  Enrollments are done in May and the beginning of the school year.  During the enrollment, we will complete paperwork, regarding consents, health history, allergy information, and emergency contacts.

    •  Home Visits:  Beginning late August, teachers and family support workers will contact parents to set up a home visit.  Children who enroll after the start of the program, will receive home visits within 4 weeks of starting the program.

    • The teacher visit is to find out more about your child and to talk about your goals for him/her.  It has been our experience that children have a more positive first day when they are able to meet their teacher in the comfort of their own home.

  3. The Family Support staff meet with parents to find out how they can provide support, resources and referrals.  In addition, they will discuss the different ways that families can be involved in the program.

  4.  Health Requirements:  The following need to be completed:  Immunizations, Medical well child exam & Dental well child exam

  5.  Open House:  An open house is scheduled for the Thursday before classes start.  This is an opportunity for parents to see the classrooms and the school.

  6.  First Day of school:  Classes start mid-September.  Parents are welcomed to stay in the classroom during the first part of the morning to find out more about the classroom activities.
