MIDDLE SCHOOL PHILOSOPHY

We believe that all students should have the opportunity to develop to their fullest potential.  The Mukilteo School District middle schools reflect this commitment.  We believe our middle schools must guide students as they become progressively self disciplined, responsible learners, able to work independently and cooperatively. 

 

We will provide a positive learning environment that is developmentally responsive to the social and academic needs of students.  This environment, both in and out of the classroom, encourages a wide range of learning experiences, while emphasizing basic skills. 

 

The middle school nurtures collaboration and partnership among students, colleagues, parents, and community. These partnerships facilitate successful transition by student from elementary, through middle school, to high school.
