About your Librarian

    Hello, my name is Cheryl Jackson, I am the librarian at Explorer Middle School.  I am a native of Washington state. My husband and I have 3 children; two sons and one daughter. My family is very musical.  My sons play various instruments and we love to sing together.  Some of my other hobbies include; reading, singing, gardening, and traveling to new places. I really love visiting the ocean. I think it's an amazing place.

 I began teaching career in the Mukilteo School district in 1993 at Olivia Park.  As an elementary school teacher, I taught 3rd, 4th, 4/5 combo and 5th grades, 2008/2009 school year will be my first year teaching in middle school and also my first year as a librarian. I am very happy and excited to be here.

    I earned my undergraduate degree in English at the University of Washington,  as well as my teaching certificate and library professional endorsement.   My professional teacher endorsement and Master's Degree were earned at Seattle Pacific University.
