HPMS Community & Service Opportunity
What:
Cranes for Peace
The
month of November is being dedicated to World Peace. On
November 18th, HPMS
wants to show their support and put together a
physical representation of peace by folding
209 peace cranes.
When:
Wednesday, November 18th
Where:
Mrs. Oehling’s room N110
Details:
Come by Mrs. Oehling’s room from 3-4pm and she’ll teach
you how to fold cranes and we’ll see how
many we can dedicate to this project. Opportunity 2
What:
Do
you like to wrap presents?
If so,
bring a friend to
the YMCA and
earn your Community and Service
hours in
December.
When: Friday, December 11th from
3:30-5:30pm and then again on Monday, December 14th
from 3:30-5:30
Details: The Boeing Company is adopting a family and
needs help with wrapping
gifts.
There’s only room for 6 wrappers, so contact
Nooshin immediately.

Opportunity 4
What:
Let’s clean the germs right off our desks! Bring a
friend and come by to do some winter cleaning for HP
teachers.
When: December 3rd from 3-4pm
Details:
Please sign-up in Mrs. Hale (N102) or
Mrs. De Klyen’s room (N105).
Pick-up: Make sure you have a ride home at 4pm, as there
will be no activity bus available. Opportunity 5
What:
Thanksgiving Placemats
When:
Tuesday, November 24th
Where:
Commons 3-4
Details:
Sixth Graders join your teachers in the commons on
Tuesday after school. We will be making placemats that
will be given to the community to brighten table
settings this Thanksgiving.
Bring:
Please bring your own scissors, glue, and color pencils or markers.
Pick-up: Make sure
you have a ride home at 4pm, as there will be no
activity bus available.
