The HP Parent Teacher
Organization (PTO) is a vital and very active part of the Harbour Pointe
community. Different from a PTA, where the organizations pay
dues to the state and national
levels and must follow the bylaws of the state and national
factions, a PTO is a single group
concerned with one school and following their own bylaws and
all funds remain at our school.
Our PTO membership contribution of $10 along with proceeds
from various fundraisers
(specifically the Poinsettias/Wreath Sales in November and
the Otis Spunkmeyer cookie
sales sold during lunches) helps with operating expenses,
books for the library, student awards,
teacher appreciation, teacher grants, shoes for the School
Bell Program, and other proposals
presented for funding throughout the year.Evening meetings are held throughout the year in the school
library. Notification of these
meetings is sent via the HP listserv and posted on the
School Calendar. |
