Across from the Main Office, a Memory Wall has been created to honor Emily Swanson.

Our students have the opportunity to write notes or cards and bring in photos to be placed on the wall.

On Friday, the “wall” will be given to Emily’s family from the students and staff at Harbour Pointe Middle School.

The Music Boosters meetings (both executive and general meetings) scheduled for Tuesday have been canceled. The next meeting will be Tuesday, February 12^{th (Executive Meeting at 6P and General Meeting at 7P).}

The topic of our Parent Coffee on Wednesday is the IB Middle Year Program. Kirsten Lewis, the HP IB Coordinator will be the guest speaker. Please join us at 9A in room N206. Also, please sign in at the Main Office when you arrive.

The Geography Bee preliminary round will be on this Thursday. The final round will be held on January 16th. Students may sign up for the Bee in Student Services and pick up a list of websites to study from. The Geography Bee is open to all students. Advisor: Mrs. Riccardo

The informational meeting for Flag Team (Color Guard) and Dance Team will be Thursday at 5:30P in the Commons. Practice will begin next week on Tuesday and Thursday – Flag Team from 5:30 – 7P and Dance Team from 7 – 8:30P. Advisor: Taressa Percival

“Clues” for guessing the Spring Musical so far are 1) Take place in a foreign land, 2) You do not need to learn a foreign dialect, 3) Transportation plays an important role, 4) Makeup will definitely be necessary, and 5) The characters must be “multi-faceted.” The name of the musical will be announced on January 14th.

The next PTO meeting will be held on Tuesday, January 22nd at 7P in the HP Library. We will have a guest speaker, Pat Martinelli, MS, MHP, CMHS. She will be addressing the topic of teen behavior, emotions, and perceptions. She will also cover ways to communicate effectively. In addition, she can answer questions you might have about teens and the grief process. We hope to see you there!

We are nearly at the half way point in the school year and now is a perfect time to review with your student their school supplies and replenish anything they have run out of or are running low on!

An after school pizza party has been scheduled for the 6th grade students by their WEB leaders. We need five parents to serve pizza and pop at the event on Wednesday, January 30th between 2:45P and 4:15P. Please contact me if you would like to help out!
