PARENT INFORMATION

BULLYING PRESENTATIONS

Our counselors Mrs. Hamilton and Mrs. Huber will be presenting classes on Bullying to our 6th grade students during math classes on Thursday and Friday this week.

PARENT COFFEE

Wednesday, March 12th at 9A our parent coffee will be on Internet Safety. Detective Lee Malkow from the Snohomish Sheriff’s Office will be talking about child predators on the internet and other internet dangers. During her discussion she will actually connect to a chat room. She will show how easily a child’s personal information can be obtained and what may seem innocent can quickly change. This coffee will run until about 10:30A to allow time for the online demo and to answer your questions about your child using the internet.

BUS STUDENTS

Emergency Exit Drills will be held this week for those students who ride buses. The drills are to make sure students understand the safety involved if there were ever a major emergency and they would need to exit the school bus quickly.

TRANSITIONS TO HIGH SCHOOL

8th grade students and their parents are welcome to attend the parent forum at Olympic View Middle School this Tuesday, March 4th at 6:30P in the OV Library. A panel of high school students and high school parents from Kamiak and Mariner will answer questions and discuss preparing 8th graders for the transition to high school.
