PARENT INFORMATION

FROM THE HP DRAMA BOOSTERS

Wizard of Oz Spring Musical “Mementos” will be sold during lunches on Tuesdays – May 6, 13 and 20. Items being sold include: Toto Buttons ($2), King Size Wizard of Oz candy bars ($2), and “Ding Dong the Wicked Witch is Dead” Ding Dongs ($1).

SPRING MUSICAL

Tickets go on sale next week, starting May 12th, for the 15th Harbour Pointe Spring Musical: The Wizard of Oz. Performances will be held May 22nd (Thu) and May 23rd (Fri) at 7:30P in the Kamiak Performing Arts Center. See Mrs. Boyle in Student Services to purchase tickets. Costs are $8.00 – adults, $5.00 - students and seniors, and 5 and under free but a ticket is required for a seat.

6th GRADE SCIENCE CLASSES - ORGAN LADY

Sixth grade students will have the opportunity to see first hand the effects of alcohol and drug abuse on internal organs through attending an assembly entitled, “Choice and Consequence” with their science classes this Thursday.

COMMUNITY AND SERVICE

Cut off for Community and Service hours is Tuesday, June 3rd. Here’s a fun opportunity for your student – and we need some parent volunteers, too - Help at the HP Track Meets! 6th graders will have their second “Read-In” during Language Arts on
Wednesday, May 7th. Remind your student to get sponsors and participate!

GROUP PHOTOS

The final set of school/yearbook photos will take place on Wednesday, May
14th. This includes Swim Team, Track and Field Team, 8th Grade Panoramic,
Musical Cast, Band, Choir, Orchestra, and Dance and Flag Teams.

FREESTYLE FUN PHOTOS

Single or group pictures can be taken during lunches on May 14th. Your
student and their friends have the opportunity to pose for a fun memory shot.
Order forms for these photos are available in Student Services. Payment is due
at the time the photos are taken. Prices are listed on the order form but are
similar to start-of-year School Photo prices.

SUMMER SCHOOL INFORMATION}

8th GRADE PANORAMIC PHOTOS

The 8th Grade class picture will be taken during 5th period on Wednesday, May
14th. Order forms will be distributed to the students prior to that date. Forms
need to be turned in prior to or on the day of if your child wishes a copy of
the picture. Costs are $15 (8” X 18”) or $20 (10” X 24”).

8th GRADE CELEBRATION

Flyers were given to your child during Language Arts classes last week
requesting help in creating a special night for your 8th grade student. If you
did not receive a copy of the donation request flyer, please email me and I will
send you a copy.

WELCOME TO KAMIAK DANCE

Incoming freshman at Kamiak High School in the fall of 2008 are invited to
attend a “Welcome to Kamiak Dance” on Friday, May 16th from 7 to 9P in the
Kamiak Commons. Tickets will be on sale during 8th grade lunch at HP on May 7,
14 and 15. Tickets are $7 presale and $8 at the door.
