The Kamiak High School Library strives to be an integral part of the school's total instructional program. The Library is designed to provide comprehensive support, instruction and materials to all Kamiak students and staff. Our mission is to ensure that students and staff are effective users of ideas, information and technology.
The library offers an extensive collection (more than 30,000 items) of print and non-print resources including books, magazines, newspapers, online reference sources, books on tape, play-a-ways, video tapes, and CD-ROM's. Our resources have been specifically selected to support the instructional program at Kamiak High School. Because of that focus we will usually have more resources on specific curriculum topics than a public library.
The library staff is new this year (2007-08). Gail Anderson is moving from Mountlake Terrace High School to take the vacancy left when Pat Matsuzawa retired. Pam Chittick is moving from the Kamiak computer lab to the library assistant job left when Darrilyn Martin retired.
