Student Aid on the Web – Run by the Department of Education, this site might have every detail you ever wanted to know about federal student-aid programs, including who’s eligible, how to apply and how to consolidate and pay back loans (or defer them). www.estudentloan.com is a site where you can fill out the online loan application and a search engine will match you with up to 12 loan programs, then compare the loans online. www.absolutelyscholarships.com takes the same user ID and password from “estudentloan” above and you’ll be matched up with any of the 200,000 scholarship awards in their database. Calculating your Expected Family Contribution (what they expect you to pay towards your student's education) is easy with the calculator found at the Sallie Mae site. Click here to get started!
