About Miss Hodo.....
I love teaching and I love my students! I have always wanted to be a teacher! When I was a little girl I used to teach my stuffed animal students! I graduated from Warner Pacific College in 2004. I went to WPC located in Portland Oregon, on a soccer scholarship. I am currently attending Lesley University to earn my masters degree in Education Through the Arts. It focuses on incorporating the multiple intelligences in every subject. I will graduate in December, yay!
I started teaching at ME in the spring of 2005. I took over for Mrs. Hadian for her maternity leave. Last year was my first full year in 2nd grade and this is my 2nd year. This summer I taught summer school during the Workshop Institute, where I modeled for teachers how to teach reading through a workshop model.
I am very family oriented and my family means the world to me. My parents just celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary. My brother is 29 years old. My sweet grandma comes into volunteer usually a few times a month, ironically her name is grandma BEE! I have 2 cats who are like my babies! I also have a sweet family dog who is 15 years old. I have a very special girl, Shelby, who is like a sister. She is 15 years old and I started babysitting her when she was 6 months old. She also wants to be a 2nd grade teachers so she helps in the classroom whenever possible. My family brings me joy and love, they light up my life!
I am a very energetic and active person. I love playing soccer. I enjoying snuggling up and reading a good book while drinking a latte! I also LOVE spending time with my friends!
