Frequently Asked Question for Ms. Anderson's World History Class

1. What does "MI" mean on my grade?

This means you did not turn in your assignment or take your quiz/test. If you have turned your work in late with a late pass or due to absences, those assignments will remain missing until graded. (Be patient this might take a couple of weeks!)

If you are sure you turned in an assignment and it is marked as missing, make sure to check the graded work baskets in the front of the classroom for your work. Sometimes work gets turned in with no name on it!!

2.  Is late work accepted in your class?

For Core World History - Not without a late pass. Students are given two late passes for the semester which they may use at any time up until the last week of the semester.

For Honors World History- No late work is accepted.

3.  When can I make up a test or quiz I missed?

Before school or after school. Just set an appointment with me!

4.  Do you offer extra credit?

Generally no, so don't bank on it!

5.  How often do you update grades?

I try to update the grades weekly. Some weeks that doesn't happen, but I try!

6.  What should I do if I have a question about my grade?

Print out a copy of your grade sheet from the online grades and bring it to me before school or after school to discuss the issue.

7.  Where can I find out what my homework is for this week?

Refer to the homework calendar you were given at the beginning of the year or to see the calendar on line Core World History Calendar or Honors World History Calendar.

8.  Do you average quarter grades to get a semester grade?

No, the grade is cumulative through the semester. Your quarter grade is simply an update.
