reading.

This packet must be neat enough for you to study from and

Current Events:
Each week of the school year you will be expected to locate
an article from the world/globe section of a legitimate news source
(either online or print newspapers).
- The article must be about something outside of the US.
Any US based articles will loose credit.
- You will need to print or cut out the article and attach
it to your summary and reflection.
- Your summary should be a paragraph long and give a
general explanation of the article. The reflection should be a separate
paragraph that is a thoughtful discussion of your impression, questions and/or
general feeling related to the article and/or issues presented. When
applicable you should tie what you learned in the article to information
discussed in class.
Quiz Friday:
Every Friday you will have a quiz over the assigned weekly
reading. Your reading assignments are listed on the attached calendar – it is
your responsibility to keep track of this. The calendar will also be linked on
my web page. For the most part you will NOT be given in class time to do this
work, it is expected that you will do it this as your weekly homework on your
own time!
