The Closet

Nicole and I have been staring at a big, mysterious closet for two trimesters of the whoe school year. One Friday, Nicole dared me to try and take a peek in the closet. Find out what happens next.....
I called my mom and told her I was going to be about an hour late. Me and Nicole stayed at school until 4:15p.m. All the teachers have left. We snuck to room #19 and we quietly walked towards the mysterious closet. Drats! A lock is by the handle. How did I miss that? I walked to the teachers desk and I frantically searched for a key to the closet or perhaps a pick. Then Nicole loudly yelled, "Over here! I found a key" she held up a golden key.
I carefully put the key inside the lock and turned the key. Then a sudden creak fell upon our ears. The closet opened. Nicole's jaws dropped. I couldn't believe it! It was only a weird sign that said, Welcome to FarenTopia!" We took out the sign and then we froze. We froze because wince the sign is out of the way, we saw a small land.
A land with light purple grass that was swaying in the warm breeze. There were also TWO SUNS! The sky was a darker shade of baby blue and there wasn't a cloud in sight. We stepped in and saw a beautiful lady in an elegant pink gown riding a flying horse. We came up to a huge gray castle and a king greeted us. "What is this place?" Nicole said softly. FairyTopia," I answered then smiled. Then I heard several snaps "Anya Yoohoo!" Nicole yelled. "What?Huh?" I said softly.
I looked around and saw we were in the class and I had a golden key in my hand. Nicole and I were standing in front of the closet. I looked at the time it was 4:41. "You kinda nodded off for a while," Nicole said. "You ready to open it? I wonder whats inside." Then I replied, "I think I know." I put the key in the lock and turned the key. The closet opened. There laid a sign that said, "Welcome to FarenTopia."
The Silliest Moment of My Life
2002

What’s
the silliest moment in my life? I’ll
tell you about the silliest moment in my life.
Even if I tell you…you have to promise not to: laugh, make fun, or
scream. When I was one I was at my grandma’s house in the yard.
I had found a jar of mosquitoes (of course I didn’t know what they
were). I took the jar and was about
to empty it out. Suddenly, my
diaper was loose and my mom had picked me up.
My diaper fell on the jar and killed the mosquitoes.
It
was a summer day and I was one year and two months old.
It was very hot so all I was wearing was my diaper.
I was chasing butterflies and grasshoppers.
I was chasing one of the butterflies when I tripped over something.
I had scraped my knee. I was
crying! My mom came out of the
house and put a band-aid on my bleeding scraped knee.
I
wanted to torture the thing or person that scraped my knee.
I looked around, but all I could see was: butterflies, grasshoppers,
grass and flies in a jar. I picked up the jar right when I did my diaper came loose!
I couldn’t believe my favorite “Elmo” diaper was loose, but I had
already opened the jar! I had to go
(to the bathroom)…so I did.
Then my mom came and as the first fly (mosquitoe) came out of the jar, my
mom picked me up. My diaper was
heavy enough so it fell off onto the top of the jar and the flies were trapped.
Also the wee-wee was dripping on the flies and killing them.
I just couldn’t stop laughing as my mom carried me away, and gave me a
diaper-change.”
“I think that’s the silly, silly, silliest moment that I’ll ever
think of. See ya some other time.
Bye.
The Bad Hair Day
2004
by Lauren
Snip snip! That is the sound of my hair being cut. I will never forget the time I got my on accidental haircut. I was just getting ready for dinner. My mom was making her famous chili Colorado. Hmmmmmmmmm!
Suddenly, my uncle was taking me home from dinner. He gave me some kind of gooey stuff as a little gift. Then he put the gooey stuff in my hair!!! Hey!, look he said. The gooey stuff wont stick to hair!" he said. I wonder how long the gooey stuff can stay in hair without getting stuck?" he said. Ill tell you one thing, it didn't stay in that long without getting stuck, that's for sure. THE GOOEY STUFF WAS STUCK IN MY HAIR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My mom and sisters were all laughing at me. My uncle was really embarrassed. My sisters were trying to get all the gooey stuff out of my hair. But the gooey stuff didn't want to come out! So my sisters had to cut my beautiful, soft, smooth, and streaked hair off! When I looked in the mirror I was terrified from what I saw! A huge chunk of my hair was missing!
I will never forget the time I got my ugly on accident haircut, it was the worst day of my life!!!!!!!!
