If you know of anyone else that we missed that might be interested, please let us know!

This past year, two  of us from the Mukilteo School District attended a few Career Specialist/Work Based Learning Coordinators  meetings down in the Kent/Auburn area and found them to be helpful and fun!  We talked about how we would like to start such a group for Snohomish County Career Specialists, Career Center Assistants, Career Guidance Counselors, and School to Work /Work Based Leaning Coordinators, so that is why you are receiving this e-mail.

What would you think about  getting  together once a month, rotating schools as meeting places, share what's new at our schools, and have a guest speaker or two from the area colleges, apprenticeship program, or other topics of interest that we all can decide on later?  The meetings we attended generally started at 8:30 and ended before noon with an optional working lunch afterwards.

We think it would be fun to expand our network, share ideas with each other, find out what we each do at our schools, and have a chance to visit other Career Centers.

For our first event, we'd like everyone to bring a handout of an overview of their Career Centers along with areas of oversight.

If you are interested in being a part of this, please indicate below.  Once we receive everyone's responses, we'll create a distribution list and send out an e-mail with more information about our first meeting on Friday, April 7.

Thank you!  We look forward to hearing back from you!
