EXECUTIVE WOMEN INTERNATIONAL--SEATTLE CHAPTER SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

YOUNG WOMEN in PUBLIC AFFAIRS SCHOLARSHIP (ZONTA INTERNATIONAL)

Open to pre-university of pre-college students (age 16-20) at the time of application.  The goal of the YWPA program is to encourage more young women to participate in public and political life by recognizing a commitment to volunteerism, leadership activities and a desire to advance the status of women worldwide.

One $2500  scholarship will be awarded to a US student who submits a short original, previously unpublished written response to the scholarship topic:  "Explain what one characteristic you have that will make you successful in college."  The response must be written in English and must not exceed 100 words.  All US high school students enrolled in 9th - 12th grade at time of application are eligible to apply.

WASHINGTON STATE TRIAL LAWYERS ASSOCIATION AMERICAN JUSTICE ESSAY SCHOLARSHIP CONTEST

Open to high school students who will eventually attend college.  Essay topic:  "What should the role of the civil justice system be when it comes to protecting children from lead pain in toys?" 

 

 

 

THE SUPERPOWER SCHOLARSHIP

Five students will each receive a $1,000 scholarship.  Winners will be chosen based on their responses (250 words or less) to the given topic:  "If you were granted the superpower to manipulate time, how would you use it and why?"  To be eligible to apply, students must be at least 13 years old at the time of application and be legal residents of the fifty (50) United States or the District of Columbia. 

 

 

 

DIMENSIONS IN POETRY TODAY LIVE POETS SOCIETY SCHOLARSHIP CONTEST

All U.S. high school students are eligible to enter this contest. That eligibility is continuous until May 31 of their senior year. Poems must be 20 lines or less (title and spaces between stanzas do not count), unpublished, the sole work of the entrant, and not be entered in any other concurrent contest. Only poems written in the English language can be judged. Foreign phrases are acceptable only with a translation provided. Only ONE poem per poet may be entered during any 90 day span.

 

 

THE LAW SCHOOL ESSAY SCHOLARSHIP

One scholarship will be awarded to the student who best responds to the following online topic:  "If you had the opportunity to second chair a famous court case, which case would you pick and why?"  US students who are 16 years of age or older and currently enrolled or planning to enroll in an undergraduate or graduate law program are eligible to apply. 

 

 

LAW ENFORCEMENT SCHOLARSHIP

US students who are 13 years of age or older may apply.  A complete application must be submitted online, and must include a short essay response (max 250 words) to the topic, "What event, or person, instilled in you the desire to go into law enforcement and why?"  Students must be currently enrolled or planning to enroll in an undergraduate or graduate law or law enforcement program. 

 

 

THE ALL ABOUT EDUCATION $5K SCHOLARSHIP

NORDSTROM SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM 2008

The Common Knowledge Scholarship Foundation (CKSF) awards scholarships through Internet-based quiz competitions. CKSF rewards students for demonstrating what they know through the use of objective competitions. Our scholarship winners are most often participants that have well-rounded, practical knowledge, and not necessarily those with the highest academic standing.  Our Mission is to create scholarship opportunities in which participants of all levels have a fair and equal chance at winning money to help pay for higher education.
