Volunteer    Give back, get back!
Why Volunteer?

A volunteer job gives students a chance to learn about the world outside of school.  Volunteering helps students mature, form opinions, and test abilities.

Most scholarships awarded to graduating high school seniors are based in part on the quality and quantity of extra-curricular activities such as volunteer work.

Supervisors at non-profit agencies can become good references.

A meaningful volunteer job can be a way to build a resume and add content for college application essays.

Some volunteer jobs lead to paid employment.
