Photography                             

The students will be given opportunities to investigate the technologies currently being used in the communications industry.  Skills the students learn will be applicable to the workplace and will demonstrate basic skill competencies in reading, math, communications, art, and technology use.  The assignments will focus on skills needed to make decisions based on information obtained in demonstrations, lectures, direct assistance, and internet research in the classroom.  Safety procedures are strictly enforced in the classroom environment according to industry standards.

Students are encouraged to look at the following questions while completing photography projects

"How is the art studio (room) like a community?"
"Why is cooperation needed when working in a classroom?"
"Is art a group or individual endeavor? Why?"
"What impact doe your values have on a classroom community?"
"What can you do to make your composition unified?"
"When is a photograph art?"
“Is Video art?”
“How can light be used to help convey a message?”
