Background – Mrs. Mead is a native Washingtonian having been born in Bellingham, Washington and raised in eleven cities in the beautiful evergreen state. She attended Western Washington State College (the name WWSC dates her) in Bellingham, Washington and graduated in 1974 with a degree in Physical Education. Mrs. Mead taught middle school PE in the Shoreline School District for 17 years. In 1991, she received her Master’s Degree in School Counseling from Seattle University and worked for three years at Shorewood High School as a school counselor. In 1994, Mrs. Mead moved to Kamiak and has been a school counselor at Kamiak since that time. Her husband worked in the Mukilteo School District for 30 years (eleven of those years at Kamiak High School) and her two daughters graduated from Kamiak High School in 2002 and 2004. The only family members not connected to KHS are her dog and cat.

Hobbies and Interests – Mrs. Mead loves to spend time at her summer home in Chelan, Washington. When she isn’t working at Kamiak or in Chelan, she is either skiing, reading, quilting, going to movies, or relaxing with her family.
