Get there early
we were told,
A battle was about to unfold
The place was packed the crowd was rockin’,
Enough of the hype, enough the talking
They started at heavy and Nigg got a pin,
He went up a weight to get an unexpected win
The lightweights split one each; 119, all hope still alive,
Kusilek with a big technical fall, those score five
Mariners three stars, Bush, Link and Yee,
Could they be beaten, could they be held to just three?
Kamiak also has a star, Munoz, could he be beat?
Coffman, the challenger, fell short of the feat
It might have been over, but Mariner pins 189,
The Marauders are in it, the score now 28-29
Down to the last match, these two wrestlers we don’t know,
The crowd was on their feet, how would this one go?
It didn’t take long, a head and arm the chosen attack,
The place went nuts; the new hero, under a dog pile stack
South Wesco title, and of course bragging rights,
Mariner fought hard, but this year it was all Knights!!
