6th Grade math with Mr Slaght

Welcome to 6th grade math at Harbour Pointe Middle School. As an incoming 6th grader there are lots of changes happening in your education. More classes, more teachers and the dreaded locker just to name a few. To help ease some of you anxiety about your new school, I have created this webpage to help you with math this year.

This year we are using a brand new curriculum(book) in math called Math Connects. This program is designed to help you become a great mathematician and creative problem solver. I am very excited about this new material. Not only do you a get a great new text book, the program also includes many resources to help you overcome any struggles you may have this year as well as help you to learn and stretch your mathematical ability.

Throughout this website you will find many links to all the resources Math Connects has to offer. I have also included informational links for upcoming events, projects and homework assignments. To access your textbook online and additional resources, instructions can be found in the Class Resources.
