Mission statement: To educate, encourage, and facilitate the greater opportunity for others.

Background: Transplant from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and graduate of Edmonds High School. Received a BS from the University School of Nursing. As a Public Health Nurse/Visiting Nurse/School Nurse for the Seattle King County Public Health Department, established Family Planning Clinics and Well Child Clinics, provided home treatments for the acutely, and chronically ill, taught health aid curriculum for students in a high school career program, and worked with the Communicable Disease, Sexually Transmitted Disease and TB clinics. Obtained a Master of Education from the University of Washington with a focus on the cultural interpretation of disease. Sarah has worked in the Mukilteo School District for the past 12 years.

Interests and Hobbies are synchronized swimming, down hill skiing, reading, gardening and knitting for her two fabulous grandchildren. Sarah has two sons and a great husband of 37 years.
